Tech:NYC Statement Following the Signing of the RAISE Act

Tech:NYC issued the following statement following Governor Kathy Hochul’s signing of the RAISE Act.

Aligning the RAISE Act largely with California’s AI law is a positive step toward reducing patchwork policy and creating clearer expectations for companies operating across state lines in the absence of federal action. That coordination matters.

We are grateful to Governor Hochul for her continued leadership and her commitment to positioning New York not only as a home to a vibrant AI ecosystem but also importantly as a national model for responsible and balanced AI policy.

As policy conversations around the State’s innovation economy progress, we look forward to continuing our work with the Governor and Legislature to ensure that New York is the best possible place to start and scale a tech company.
